Welcome to my site
My name is Dr. Patricia Starkey, Th.D. Besides being a woman of God, with a degree in fashion, communications, education, a doctorate in Theology, a minister, wife, mother, grandmother, and author, I am also a certified life purpose life coach.
What is a certified life purpose life coach?
It is someone who can help to facilitate another person in discovering and pursuing their true purpose in life, by helping them uncover the best way for them to think about creating their life purpose for the good, allowing them to see their unique life outside of a box, made by others, and experience a life that's free to be whoever they were created to be.

Having a Life Coach and Grief Life Coach Facilitator is a great way to develop yourself as a person, work at change, or live a more focused life by combining bereavement support with textile and various arts to help you navigate loss; processing emotions, using creative tactile work to facilitate healing, and to honor memories. ​​
Now that I've got that out of the way, here is a little bit more about me. Some time ago, I was in that "box" created by others' views of what I should be, what I should do, and how I should behave. Oh, that was the tricky one. The one about "how I should behave". We'll address that later. However, let me say this: I was able to break free from that box and live in the abundance that God has for me.
I had to set aside time and take my own lessons, which I created and taught several years ago, such as my "21 Day Shape-Up" & Affirmations for Purpose, Power of Confidence - 101, and Christian Living-Living Life." By following the life lessons and strategy I call a "Style Communicator," I was able to step beyond my limits and into my newly found God-given purpose.
As an inspirational life-purpose coach and grief coach, I want to help you step out of your "box" so you can discover the unique God-given purpose already within you. I share some of these techniques with you in my book, "Unlocking Your Potential to Style: Master the Art of Flowing Confidently," which will help you get started on your journey to unlock your potential.
And for those times in my life, where life just happened, and I struggled with loss and grief, my safe and happy space was sewing, and by allowing my creative side to spring forth, God reminded me of a strategy that He gave me some time ago, that enabled me to pull through some tough seasons, and move forward.
I share how I was able to process grief/loss in my new book, "Mending What Grief Unravels: Processing Grief Through Sewing," which is a creative strategy, tailored by God, using the backdrop of scriptures and fabrics, I was able to make some sense out of the seasons I found myself in.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 & 7 (NIV) states there is a time and season for everything... a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak. I share with you my God-creative strategy to help channel emotions into tangible activities where you can begin to reconnect with your life and restore confidence from the remnants of loss, so you no longer feel unraveled, overwhelmed, or alone.
The Patricia Agency was restyled as Mending Faith, a faith-based creative healing studio, to help women and girls of faith heal, reflect, and grow through prayer & scripture, sewing projects, journaling, and arts & crafts, connecting them with creativity to strengthen their faith as they pursue their purpose.
As I work to inspire and ignite you, you will be able to creatively envision your dreams and develop your unique ways (style) and the skills you have (art) to bring them to life. And I will be by your side to instill in you the knowledge you need to also move forward and help others, so you can sparkle and shine as the true gem you are, giving God the glory.
